Personal information includes information that is capable of identifying an individual as well as information that may be health related and such information is defined by and is the subject to various privacy laws in Australia (“Personal Information”). This Privacy Statement explains the manner in which your Personal Information, obtained through the website, will be dealt with.

The KEYS Network is a multiagency team that is supported by WentWest Limited. The KEYS Network is made up of the following agencies, who work collaboratively to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young persons and their families:

• NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ)

• Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN)

• Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD)

• Department of Education (DoE)

Personal Information supplied by you within the website is received by the agencies who are part of the KEYS Network and is not received by WentWest Limited. WentWest Limited is not responsible for any personal information supplied by you through your conduct within the website or any information provided by you as part of the referral process or engagement with the agencies that are part of the KEYS Network.

KEYS is a voluntary service for families. By consenting to a referral to the KEYS Network, eligible families acknowledge that Personal Information will be provided and received by the agencies that are part of the KEYS Network and may be shared with relevant service providers to facilitate the provision of services.

By submitting a referral, you confirm that the family has provided consent for engagement with the KEYS Network and acknowledge that their Personal Information will be provided and received by the KEYS Network agencies. The KEYS Network agencies may share Personal Information to related prescribed bodies, as defined in the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998, to facilitate the provision of services and promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of Children and Young Persons.

Chapter 16A of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 facilitates the provision of services to children and young persons by agencies that have responsibilities relating to the safety, welfare or well-being of children and young persons-

(a) by authorising or requiring those agencies to provide, and by authorising those agencies to receive, information that is relevant to the provision of those services, while protecting the confidentiality of the information, and

(b) by requiring those agencies to take reasonable steps to co-ordinate the provision of those services with other such agencies.
