The KEYS Network was developed to address the growing need for coordinated, equitable and effective support for families and young children across Western Sydney and Lithgow.

This approach aligns with the priorities of the NSW Investment Plan for Human Services (2021), which emphasises the need for a whole of government framework to deliver coordinated services that can achieve measurable and meaningful improvements to people’s lives.

Many families face complex challenges that span multiple systems, from health and social care to education, yet these systems often operate in isolation. This can make it difficult for families to access the full range of support they need.

The KEYS Network brings services together through a connected, place-based approach. By strengthening collaboration and improving how services work alongside one another, KEYS helps ensure families can access the right mix of support at the right time, particularly when needs are complex or barriers exist.

Through KEYS, service providers are supported to work effectively together, ensuring families receive the right support, at the right time, from the right combination of services.

Who are we?

The KEYS Network is comprised of a team of navigators employed by Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), Department of Education (DoE), Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), and HOMES NSW, including an identified Aboriginal Navigator position and a disability navigator position.

The KEYS Network is also supported by WentWest, the Western Sydney Primary Health Network and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
